Dedication

Dedication is committing to task or purpose and seeing that it is completed or finished.

Dedication is a difficult thing for a myriad people to have. Many struggle with committing to tasks and seeing that they are fulfilled at the end of the day.
Dedication is about working hard and finishing the tasks you start. A person can commit themselves to many things: an idea, project, sport, religion, or even another person. People who dedicate their lives to something have to work hard for their ambition to be completed and can’t give up over the little things in life. To be dedicated, one must be ambitious enough to commit themselves to something, resilient enough to get up after falling down, passionate enough to keep trying when it gets difficult, a have enough faith in themselves and their cause to keep going. Dedication is also about sticking with one’s belief whether or not someone is watching. When someone is dedicated, they have to believe that what they are accomplishing is worth it. This belief cannot wavier and must not falter under other’s criticisms.

Dedication is a virtue because it stops people from being lazy by giving them a commitment, fosters integrity, loyalty, and a diligent work ethic, all while letting a person find their own purpose.  Dedication creates strong individuals unafraid to work hard and speak their minds. It makes the world a better place by giving people a purpose to move forward with their lives and keep at it until they reach their goal.
  1. All people who work hard and try their best are virtuous
  2. All dedicated people are people who work hard and try their best.
  3. Therefore, all dedicated people are virtuous.

  1. " Dedication is also about sticking with one’s belief whether or not someone is watching." I admire this part in your post the most. I believe dedication is a very strong trait for one to have and it takes a lot although it is beneficial in the end. Nothing is more important to me than sticking to my goals, and I feel that as long as I have dedication I can always dust off and try again when i'm faced with failure. I liked the way very simply added in examples of times when someone may need dedication to keep themselves going. I would have liked to see you compare your virtue to one we discussed it class.

  2. What i admire about your post is the fact that you included other virtues that go along with dedication. Dedication is definitely a very important trait that everyone should develop. it could help people improve not only on that but also other virtues that are also important
