Loyalty- The act to remain faithful to an idea, person, or commitment or the act of putting someone else’s needs before yours. Loyalty is an essential virtue in everyone’s life. In order to maintain relationships in your life whether within family, friendship, or faith you need to be loyal.
Trust, honesty, sacrifice, integrity, and selflessness are all characteristics that go along with loyalty. Keeping relationships with people is a part of life and there’s no way to do that without displaying this virtue. Although wisdom and courage are a very important virtues to display, I can equally argue how important loyalty is. If you aren’t loyal to anyone in your life whether work-based, or in relationships, no one is going to respect you or want to maintain any type of relationship with you. If you never put anyone’s needs before your own you will never learn to be a loyal person. If you constantly show up to work late and show you don’t care, you probably wont have a job for very long. But if you show your loyalty to your employees and company if will be very beneficial in the end. This just shows that loyalty applies to most confrontations and relationships that you encounter with people throughout your everyday life and your career. You must be willing to dedicate time, and energy to all situations in life to be loyal. Acting in a way that benefits others is a virtue. Thus, loyalty is just as important to have as other virtues because without loyalty you cannot build relationships, or be happy if you never put others needs before your own.

Loyalty is indeed a very important virtue. Loyalty not only entitles one to the respect they deserve, it's also the basis of every single relationship, friendship, and any sort of partnership. Good post.
